What God Really Wants Us to Know (Part 3) -- "The Kingdom of God"

There is no theme, no topic in the New Testament more emphasized than this. This is not subjective opinion this is objective, verifiable fact. The Gospels report that Jesus taught the "good news of the kingdom" wherever he went and commanded his disciples to do the same. The question is, what does God want you to understand about his kingdom and why is it important to you as a child of God?

Anyone interested in a more abundant life should be interested in the word of God which states in the most direct manner possible that it is God's pleasure to give us his kingdom, to give us abundant life. Every human being on earth is interested in a more abundant life. Jesus came that we might actually have it. And to show us the way, he provided a number of teachings and to ensure we got the point that action is required on our part, he repeatedly emphasized the importance of putting his teachings into practice. Clearly, there exists a direct and profound connection between God's will that his children live in a state of abundant life and the teachings of Christ. Consider what your life would be like if you assumed that everything that Jesus taught is a pearl of incalculable value on your personal spiritual path. What if to the best of your ability, you devoted your life to understand, internalize and apply what Jesus taught his disciples? What would your life be like ...

What God Really Wants Us to Know Series (Part 1)

"...Observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" If we really are believers, then we believe in a Creator God; almighty, omnipotent – the being who created the universe, the earth, you and me and 7 billion other souls on earth.. Such a being must have had a purpose in mind for each of its creations. Therefore, it follows that God created you, and me and every human being on earth for a divine and utterly profound purpose. Yet for most people on earth today, the reality of life seems to suggest that the purpose of life is only endless struggle and strife. Obviously, it is inconceivable that struggle and strife is what God envisioned for humankind. Surely, there must be something more for which we were created, something that so far we have somehow overlooked.
